ODOR CONTROL

                  ODORS CAN BE CONTROLLED MANY WAYS:

First and foremost- remove as much of the "source" of the odor as possible

MASKING AGENTS- replace the odor with another fragrance

ODOR NEUTRALIZATION- Termed neutralization when no odor results and through reodorization a milder pleasant odor replaces the malodor.

ABSORBENTS- Products that work by this method attacks the malodor, which causes it to speed up its normal activity.  There is no masking- the odor is eliminated.

BACTERIA AND ENZYMES-
Bacteria are living one celled organisms  that digest dead, organic material such as is found in septic systems and drains. Sufficient food, such as organic waste is necessary for survival and growth.
Enzymes act as catalysts to speed the breakdown of organic waste and odor causing molecules. Because it is a catalyst, an enzyme can affect a change in another molecule while remaining unchanged itself.

DISINFECTANTS & SANITIZERS-
"stat"- controls, limits, regulates
"cide"- kills
"sanitize"- to clean to a healthy state.
"disinfect"- free from micro organisms, but not all its spores.
"sterilize"- kill micro organisms and spores

AEROSOLS-
Available as odor counteractants/neutralizers & air sanitizers
